While most deals are hassle free, there are those few people that might take advantage of your trusting nature and try to scam you out of money or the item you are selling/advertising through WhatsApp.
Take note of these tips before joining these WhatsApp groups:
If its too good to be true, it probably is.
If you find someone advertising an item at a fraction of the cost, then rather walk away. You are better off paying a little more for peace of mind.
Chat with the buyer or seller privately.
If you find a deal that you are keen on, communicate with the person privately, sometimes you'll find that no one is interested in an item until a conversation is stirred up around it, if you start chatting in the WhatsApp group, you end up drawing attention to the item you are interested in. and you could lose the deal.
Know your buyer or seller.
Before you interact one-on-one, ask the administrator or other group members about the seller, if it's a member that's in-active on the group then apply a little more caution
